Project Overview
Sankalp Wealth Management Tool (InvestmentTool.in) was designed to replace cumbersome Excel spreadsheets and clunky banking calculators with an intuitive, instantaneous web interface. Financial advisors and everyday investors need to visualize compound interest, monthly SIP accumulation, and retirement drawdowns in real time without entering endless forms or waiting on server roundtrips.
The platform needed to be ultra-fast, responsive across handheld devices, and visually transparent so that users can instantly comprehend how small variations in monthly investments, expected returns, or inflation rates compound into substantial wealth differences over decades.
Project Purpose & Technical Challenges
Building financial software requires mathematical precision, immediate UI feedback, and frictionless usability:
- Zero-Latency Calculation Engine: Run all compounding, inflation adjustments, and corpus projections purely on the client side in JavaScript for instant feedback as sliders move.
- Visual Wealth Progression: Render dynamic growth curves and asset breakdown charts (invested amount vs. wealth gained) without bogging down mobile processors.
- Advisor-Grade Scenario Modeling: Allow users to model multiple scenarios simultaneously: lump sum investments, monthly SIPs, step-up contributions, and systematic withdrawals.
- High Accessibility & Trust: Present clear currency formatting, clean input controls, and transparent formulas that foster financial confidence.
Key Verified Features
Real-time calculation of future wealth with slider inputs for monthly deposit, investment horizon (years), and expected annual CAGR return.
Interactive chart breakdown comparing total amount invested against accumulated wealth gain over time.
Inflation-adjusted projection tools that help users calculate the exact monthly savings needed to achieve their long-term financial independence.
Smooth touch slider controls, large input targets, and responsive tabular summaries engineered for mobile phones.
Development Contribution & Technical Execution
As the frontend and web application developer, my work concentrated on mathematical reliability, UI clarity, and Core Web Vitals optimization:
1. Client-Side Mathematical Engine: Implemented precise compound interest algorithms with monthly compounding compounding schedules and step-up logic directly in modern Vanilla JavaScript, eliminating server latency.
2. Fluid UI & Performance Tuning: Kept the bundle extremely lightweight (zero unnecessary external framework bloat), ensuring that page rendering occurs in under 600ms even on low-bandwidth mobile connections.
3. High-Contrast Data Presentation: Engineered clear financial visual hierarchies with highlighted summary figures (Total Invested, Total Returns, Final Corpus), empowering users to make rapid decisions.
